Visited the Wolf Mountain Sanctuary in Lucerne Valley this past Friday.
The woman and alpha of all the wolves, Tonya, gave a guided tour where I got to interact, hug, kiss, and love these beautiful creatures. In a way it was frightening, as they have a 2,000 PSI bite. But they were all sweethearts.
Especially this guy, Istas Pejuta (Medicine Eyes)...
Everyone should go. It's for a good cause.

I recently experienced Shirodhara, an amazing Ayurvedic treatment that has been practiced in India for over 5,000 years ...
The person poured warmed(103°) sesame oil (infused with herbs) rhythmically onto my third eye for about an hour. He placed herbal oils gently into my nose, and other rare Ayurvedic essential oils onto my hands. It was performed with me lying face up on a massage table in a relaxing environment and started off with a lovely foot massage.
It calmed my nerves and purified my mind, to say the least. It also left me with wonderfully scented and rather greasy hair.
In alternative medicine, a holistic approach to healing recognizes that the emotional, mental, spiritual and physical elements of each person comprise a system, and attempts to treat the whole person, concentrating on the cause of the illness as well as symptoms.
Other types include Acupuncture, Chinese medicine, Homeopathy, Indian Head Massage, Qi Gong, Reiki, IRECA method, and Reflexology.
I would highly recommend these forms of treatment over the western medical-scientific tradition anyday. If any of you are interested in shirodhara, let me know and I will pass you along to Liz & Alex for a purely blissful time.
